THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS INTENDED FOR PLAY IN THE UNITED STATES ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW.  DO NOT PARTICIPATE UNLESS YOU ARE ELIGIBLE AND LOCATED IN ONE OF THE 49 UNITED STATES (EXCLUDING CALIFORNIA) OR THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA AT THE TIME OF PARTICIPATION.

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO PLAY OR WIN.  A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE THE CHANCE OF WINNING.  VOID IN CALIFORNIA AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.  BY PARTICIPATING IN THE FRITO-LAY FAN SURVIVAL STATION SWEEPSTAKES (“SWEEPSTAKES”), PARTICIPANT AGREES TO BE BOUND BY THESE OFFICIAL RULES AND THE DECISIONS OF THE JUDGES, WHICH SHALL BE FINAL IN ALL RESPECTS.

1.  ELIGIBILITY:  The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are legal U.S. residents of one of the 49 United States (excluding California) or the District of Columbia and are 21 years of age or older at the time of participating.  The following persons are not eligible to participate:  Employees, contractors, directors and officers of Frito-Lay, Inc. (“Sponsor”), Anheuser-Busch, LLC, and their respective parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, wholesale distributors, participating retail outlets, all individual retail licensees, Web design, advertising, fulfillment, judging and promotion agencies involved in the administration, development, fulfillment and execution of this Sweepstakes (collectively, “Promotion Parties”), the NFL Entities (as defined below), and the immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent, and/or “step”) of each and those living in their same households (those persons whether related or not who live in the same residence for at least three months during the twelve-month period preceding the start date of the Sweepstakes).

2.  SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD:  Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:00 p.m. (noon) Central Time (“CT”) on January 1, 2012 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. CT on December 31, 2012 (“Sweepstakes Period”).  The Sweepstakes Period is divided into three-hundred sixty six (366) daily periods (each a “Day”) and twelve (12) monthly periods (each a “Month”).  A “Day” is defined as the 24 hours between 12:00:00 a.m. CT and the following 11:59:59 p.m. CT except for the first date of the Sweepstakes Period where a day is 12:00:00 p.m. (noon) CT through 11:59:59 p.m. CT.  A Month is defined as the time period beginning the first day of a calendar month and ending the last day of that month. The time clock of the Sweepstakes administrator is the official clock for this Sweepstakes.

3.  HOW TO PLAY:  During the Sweepstakes Period, you may play for a chance to win an Instant-Win Prize in one of the following manners.  (a) TEXT MESSAGE: Use your mobile device to text SURVIVE to shortcode 72645.  For each Play (as defined below) and when prompted, you will be required to text your birthdate and zip code back to 72645 to determine if you have won an Instant-Win Prize (subject to verification) (a “Play”).  Participants must have a mobile phone with text messaging capabilities to participate by text message.  Message and data rates apply.  Multiple messages will be required for each Play made via text.  You may incur message and/or data charges from your wireless service provider for each message sent and received.  Check with your wireless service provider for details on these and any other applicable charges.  If your mobile phone displays a prize-winning message, you are a potential winner of an Instant-Win Prize (subject to verification).  If your mobile phone does not display a prize-winning message, you are not a winner of an Instant-Win Prize.  (b) CALL TOLL-FREE:  To play without sending a text, call toll-free 1-800-274-0542, and follow the automated instructions to play for a chance to win an Instant-Win Prize (also a “Play”). Callers will be required to enter their first and last name, home address, city, state, zip code, phone number, and date of birth (as month, day and year).  All calls must be made from an area code within the United States (excluding California).  At the completion of your Play, you will hear a voice message indicating whether or not you have won an Instant-Win Prize (subject to verification).  

Randomly selected times, during the Sweepstakes Period, will be chosen by the independent judging organization, and the first participant who completes a Play in accordance with these Official Rules (whose Play is properly received and recorded by administrator's computer(s) on or immediately after a randomly-selected time during the Sweepstakes Period) will win an Instant-Win Prize (subject to verification).  Instant-Win Prizes will be awarded at a rate of five (5) per Day for each Day of the Sweepstakes Period.  For each “Play” (as defined above) you will receive one (1) entry into the random drawing for a chance to win a Monthly Prize (for the Month in which your Play was received) and one (1) entry into the random drawing for the Grand Prize and First Prize.  All Plays must be properly received and recorded by Sponsor's computer within the Sweepstakes Period in order to win a prize.  Sponsor and its agencies will not accept Plays that are late, incomplete, misdirected, unintelligible or lost.  Use of any robotic, automatic, programmed or similar methods of Play will void all Plays and result in disqualification.  In the event of an identity dispute, Play will be considered made by the registered owner of the phone number used for playing. Limit one (1) Play per Day per person/phone number, regardless of Play method.  Limit one (1) Instant-Win Prize per person/household.

4.  RANDOM DRAWINGS:  One (1) Monthly Prize winner will be selected for each Month in a random drawing to be held on or about the next business day following the end of each Month of the Sweepstakes Period, from among all eligible Plays received during the applicable Month.  Daily Plays received for a given Month will be included only in that Month's drawing and will not carry forward to subsequent Monthly drawings; however, all eligible Plays received throughout the entire Sweepstakes Period will be included in the Grand Prize and First Prize drawings.  The Grand Prize and First Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing to be held on or about January 2, 2013 from among all eligible Plays received throughout the entire Sweepstakes Period.  All drawings will be conducted by an independent judging organization whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes.  Limit one (1) Monthly Prize per person/household.  Limit one (1) Grand Prize or First Prize per person/household.

5.  PRIZE DETAILS/ODDS:  Grand Prize (1):  Trip for winner and one (1) guest to attend Super Bowl XLVII (“Game”) scheduled to occur in New Orleans, Louisiana in February of 2013.  Trip consists of round-trip coach air transportation (from gateway city nearest winner’s U.S. home); double-occupancy hotel accommodations for four (4) nights, two (2) tickets to Super Bowl XLVII, $250 spending money (awarded in the form of a check, payable to winner), and a mid-size rental car for five (5) days (winner must possess a current valid driver’s license, valid major credit card, meet age requirements of rental car company, and meet/comply with all terms and conditions of the rental car agency in order to rent vehicle; if winner does not qualify for rental car portion of prize, neither it nor its value will be awarded).  Travel dates to be determined at a later date, by Sponsor, in Sponsor's sole discretion.  Travel, accommodations and Game are subject to availability and change.  Seating assignments at the Game are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.  Meals, gratuities and all other expenses not specified herein as part of the prize are solely winner’s responsibility.  Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize Trip: $10,350.  Actual trip prize value depends on city/date/time of departure.  Grand Prize winner may select a cash option in the amount of $5,500 in lieu of the trip prize.  ARV of Grand Prize cash alternative: $5,500.  First Prize (1): Home Entertainment prize package consisting of one (1) 60" television, one (1) sound system, and a $2,500 furniture store gift certificate which may be used towards the purchase of other home entertainment items such as: a recliner, home theater seating, couch, media stand, etc.  ARV: $10,000.  Monthly Prizes (12 total; 1 per Month):  $500 gift certificate.  ARV: $500 each.  Instant-Win Prizes (1,830 total; 5 per Day):  $20 gift certificate.  ARV: $20 each.  Gift certificates are subject to terms and conditions as set by issuer.  Odds of winning an Instant-Win Prize depend on the number of eligible Plays received and the order in which they are received for a given Day.  Odds of winning a Grand Prize, First Prize or Monthly Prize depend on the number of eligible entries received for a given drawing.  Total ARV of all prizes is up to $62,950.  Winners must accept prize as stated by Sponsor or prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner.  Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. 

6.  LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE:  No liability or responsibility is assumed by Sponsor, Promotion Parties or the NFL Entities resulting from entrant's participation in or attempt to participate in the Sweepstakes or ability or inability to upload or download any information in connection with the Sweepstakes.  No responsibility or liability is assumed by the Sponsor, Promotion Parties or the NFL Entities for technical problems or technical malfunction arising in connection with any of the following occurrences which may affect the operation of the Sweepstakes:  Hardware or software errors; faulty computer, telephone, cable, satellite, network, electronic or Internet connectivity or other network communication problems; errors or limitations of any Internet or wireless providers, servers, hosts or other providers; garbled, jumbled or faulty data transmissions; failure of any online transmissions to be sent or received; lost, late, delayed or intercepted transmissions; inaccessibility of any Sweepstakes-related equipment in whole or in part for any reason; traffic congestion on the network; unauthorized human or non-human intervention of the operation of the Sweepstakes, including without limitation, unauthorized tampering, hacking, theft, virus, bugs, or worms; or destruction of any aspect of the Sweepstakes, or loss, miscount, misdirection, inaccessibility or unavailability of a Play submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes.  Sponsor, Promotion Parties and the NFL Entities are not responsible for any typographical errors in the announcement of prizes or these Official Rules.  Sponsor, Promotion Parties and the NFL Entities are not responsible for any personal injury or property damage or losses of any kind which may be sustained to user's or any other person's electronic device and/or phone equipment resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes.  No more than stated number of prizes will be awarded.  In the event that programming, production, seeding, printing or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes, set forth in these Official Rules, to be available and/or claimed in any prize category, Sponsor reserves right to award only the stated number of prizes.

7.  WINNER NOTIFICATION:  All potential Instant-Win Prize winners will receive prize claim instructions either on entrant's wireless device or via the toll-free automated operator (depending on method of participation) at the time of Play.  If a potential Instant-Win Prize winner participated via text message, he/she will be required to follow the instructions supplied in the text message within seven (7) days of receiving the prize-winning text message or prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.  Grand Prize, First Prize, and Monthly Prize winners will be notified by phone, mail and/or text message.  Sponsor is not responsible for suspended or discontinued wireless or land line service which may result in a potential winner not receiving initial prize notification; nor is Sponsor responsible for any change in participant's email, phone number, and/or mailing address.  Grand Prize and First Prize winners will be required to complete, sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability Release, and, where lawful, Publicity Release within seven (7) days of prize notification.  Grand Prize winner's guest must be 21 years of age or older and will also be required to complete and sign a Liability Release prior to receiving travel documents.  If attempted notification is returned as undeliverable, if any required documents are not returned within the required number of days, if winner cannot be verified, or if winner is otherwise unable to accept the prize as stated, prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.  If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value.  Allow 8-10 weeks from winner verification to receive prize.

8.  RELEASE OF LIABILITY:  By participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants release Sponsor, Promotion Parties and the NFL Entities from any and all claims, damages or liabilities arising from or relating to such entrant's participation in the Sweepstakes.  By accepting a prize, recipients (a) agree that the Sponsor, Promotion Parties and the NFL Entities will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by winner against, any liability for injuries, losses or damages of any kind to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Sweepstakes; from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of prize and (b) grant (and agree to confirm grant in writing promptly upon request) to Sponsor and those acting under Sponsor’s authority, the right to the use of his/her name, photograph, likeness, voice, image, statements and biographical information, at any time or times, for advertising, trade, publicity and promotional purposes in any media now known or hereafter discovered, worldwide, including the World Wide Web without review, notification or approval, and additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.  Sponsor is not liable in the event that any portion of the Sweepstakes or prize is canceled due to weather, fire, strike, acts of war or terrorism, or any other condition beyond their control (a “Force Majeure Event”). 

9.  GENERAL CONDITIONS:  Winners are solely responsible for any taxes on the prize, and may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the ARV of the prize.  No cash equivalent or substitution of prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor.  No transfer of prize is permitted.  Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.  If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize with another prize of equal or greater value.  If for any reason the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the operation of the Sweepstakes, and to cancel, modify or terminate the Sweepstakes.  In the event of cancellation, Sponsor will randomly award the prize from among all eligible, non-suspect Plays received prior to cancellation.  This Sweepstakes is offered only in the United States and is governed by the laws of the state of Texas, and all claims must be resolved in the federal or state courts located in Collin or Dallas counties, Texas.
